 Imran Khan is a politician and former test cricketer of Pakistan. In his captainship Pakistan won one day world cup in 1992. After retirement from cricket he founded Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, a political party of Pakistan.

Imran Khan Parents

Imran Khan Father’s name is Ikramullah Niazi and mother’s name is Shaukat Khanum. His father was a civil engineer, graduated from London in 1946; he belongs to Niazi Pashtoon tribe, settled in Mianwali, Punjab.  His mother was a housewife, belongs to Burki tribe of Basti Ghuzan; she died of cancer in 1985.

Childhood and Education

Imran Khan was born on 25th November 1952 in Lahore. He got education from Aitchison College, Lahore and then Royal Grammar School Worcester in England. He studied philosophy, politics and economics in Keble College, Oxford after enrolment in 1972 and graduated in 1975.

Imran Khan Cricket Career

Imran Khan was an All-rounder and played cricket for Pakistan from 1971 to 1992. He was captain of Pakistan cricket team from 1982 to 1992. In 1987 he retired from cricket after the world Cup 1988, but on request from President Ziaul Haque he joins Pakistani team once again. Pakistan won one day World Cup 1992 in his captainship. Imran Khan was 39 in 1992. In his career he made 3807 runs and got 362 wickets in Test Cricket.

Imran Khan Politics

After retirement from cricket Imran Khan entered in Pakistan politics. In 1996 he founded his party named Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf. He was MNA of Mianwali from November 2002 to October 2007. Second time he was elected on 11th May 2013. In this election Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf got 35 seats for National Assembly of Pakistan.

Imran Khan Hospital

In the memory of his late mother who died of cancer, Imran Khan founded Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Center in Lahore, Pakistan. It is a charitable hospital. Second hospital by this name is underway in Peshawar.

Imran Khan Marriage

Imran Khan married with Jemima a British national in 1995. On 16th May the ceremony was traditional Islamic in Urdu and on 21st June civil ceremony at Richmond Register Office. This marriage remains for nine years and ended by divorce in 2004.

Imran Khan Sons and Daughter

Imran Khan has two sons named Sulaiman Isa born on 18 November 1996 and Kasim born on 10 April 1999. After divorce they went England along with their mother Jemima.

Imran Khan Sisters and Brother

Imran khan has four sisters named Rubina Khanum, Aleema Khanum, Uzma Khanum and Rani Khanum. Imran Khan has no brother; he is only son of his parents.

Imran Khan Cousins

Imran Khan Cousins are also famous for cricket and politics. His eight cousins were the first class cricket test player in which Majid Khan and Javed Burki played International cricket from Pakistan. His cousin Inamullah Niazi is a politician. Before joining Tehreek-e-Insaaf he was in Pakistan Muslim League (N).
